PCs for Harsh Environments
Panel PCs must withstand harsh and
extreme industrial environments
while providing reliable, speed and
performance to reduce downtime and
increase productivity. The Maple
Systems Gold Series combines
leading-edge technology in a rugged
package for these demands.
To ensure optimum performance in the
extreme environments expected in
industry, the Gold Series has
undergone extensive laboratory
testing, and has been CE, cULus,
RoHS and NEMA-R certified. The
110BF, 115BF and 117BF are all
fanless models that won't pull in
dust and meets NEMA-4 and IP-65
standards. Touchscreens feature
durable high impact screens. The
exterior enclosures includes a 10mm
thick aluminum front bezel and a
corrosion resistant rugged steel
housing. The industrial-grade
mainboard is highly stable and
reliable for 10-20 years of
operation. The components can
withstand a temperature range of
0-40°C or 32-104°F.

State-of-the-art

The versatile and durable touchscreen
features fine resolution and precision
touch response. The ultra-slim flat
panel display saves space and includes
easily accessible ports. The fanless
CPU option features an Intel Celeron M
ULV 1.0 GHz processor provides quiet
operation.
All Maple PanelPCs include a Microsoft
Windows XP Pro operating system and
are fully loaded right out of the box
with a one-year warranty.
A wide range of expansion options,
CPU, memory and hard drive upgrades
are also available to support multiple
controllers and devices, full network
support as well as data entry and
monitoring from a remote location.
Every model supports two to four
serial ports.

Communication
Options
With Human Machine Interface software
such as Maple Systems' WebStudio,
applications can support multiple
unique PLCs using assigned
communication drivers. A VGA port
supports a second monitor that can
display the same data that is on the
Panel PC screen or a unique image for
an attract or alarm mode. Extra USB
ports are ideal for kiosk applications
which often require scanning devices,
money handling and ticket printing
functions. Adding the Ethernet port
expands application possibilities to
remote locations like the plant floor,
the control room and machine controls.
