Hydraulic Toolholders for ...
Extended tool life and improved surface finish especially with extended length models

The new Techniks Hydraulic Chucks provide powerful, vibration-free cuttin in all materials.. Hydraulic tool holder are a good choice when you need T.I.R. of 0.00001" and high holding power.  These holders are for use with cutting tools with H6 shank tolerance.

Features
  • balanced to 25,000 RPM at G2.5
  • T.I.R. 0.0001" at 3X shank diameter
  • precision ground to AT3 standard
  • AD/B CoolFLEX coolant standard
Quoting Modern Machine Shop magazine, "The hydraulic toolholder works by using fluid to compress an internal membrane within the holder body. The hydraulic fluid delivers uniform pressure around the membrane allowing it to compress equally around the periphery of the cutting tool. Basically, that's how the hydraulic toolholder delivers its high concentricity specs.
In operation, the concentricity of the hydraulic toolholder delivers runout accuracy of 0.00012 inch or less. This translates directly into cutter tool life increases because the chip load on each cutting flute is more uniform."
Using certain high speed machining techniques where the depth of cut is relatively shallow, having a balanced chip load is critical. If one of the cutter's teeth is carrying a heavier load than the others, it will result in premature failure of the cutter, hence shorter tool life. In untended or lightly tended operation, it is vital that tool wear be predictable

High Precision Reduction Sleeves

Use reduction sleeves to run a variety of shank sizes from 1/8" up to 5/8".or from 3mm through 16mm.

Made from high grade tool steel, these reduction sleeves feature precision ground accuracy.  The slots are cut using ultra-precision sawing technology, ensuring the most accurate I.D. possible and providing a strong clamping force.

Just assemble the cutting tool into the sleeve first and then insert the assembly into the hydraulic toolholder.
